UCR Botanic Gardens

Here I am at the University of California - Riverside Botanic Gardens.
There are very many desert plants here. I am next to an "Easter Lily
Cactus" with a beautiful pink flower. Very neat!

Ocotillo

Here we are leaving Joshua Tree. We decided to stop and take a few
pictures of a blooming ocotillo that looks so vibrant and orange/red.
This one is at least 15' high! If you look closely, you can see Joe
taking a picture over to the right, too. I like ocotillos!

Cottonwood

Hey everyone! Since we got back from our big road trip, we haven't
done many exciting things. Well, last night we packed up the telescope
gear and the doggies and headed out to cottonwood. Here I am outside
the hummer just before Joe started unloading. It was an awesome night!
Around midnight, it got very still and dark. We were able to make out
features in things, like the eagle nebula, that we haven't before. We
also met some very nice people - like Adam and Kristen, two attorneys
from Los Angeles; and Ed and Marlene, Ed is the base engineer for
miramar in San Diego...wow! I think everyone had a great time! We even
got some great pictures with Joe's new camera. I love cottonwood!

Another jackrabbit

We are on the east side of Arizona between hollbrook and winslow. We
passed an exit that had a VERY large jackrabbit on the side of their
building. If you look closely, you can see the black jackrabbit on the
white building. My breathern are everywhere!

Welcome to New Mexico!

We are making slow and steady progress. Just arrived in New Mexico.
Here I am in front of the welcome sign. It is bright outside, and I am
in the shade, so you can only see my outline. Amarillo was flatter
than Nebraska! As we enter New Mexico, it is getting neater outside
with some hills and mesas off in the distance.

Arch, part II

One more picture of the arch in St. Louis. It was designed by the
famous architect, Eero Saarinen in 1947, but not built until 1963/65.
It is 630' high and the same distance at its base. Because of the
shape, it seems to be taller than it is wide. This picture is neat
because it is more edge on and the arch appears long and tall, like my
ears.

Amarillo!

Made it to Amarillo! Here I am with a cool quarter horse outside of
our hotel. The quarter horse museum is just down the street...time for
some rest now.

Gateway to the West

That is definitely where we are headed! Can you guess where I am? We
are just about to cross the Mississippi into St Loius. Here I am with
the very large arch, known as the 'Gateway to the West' along with the
downtown area of St. Loius in the background. Our trip seems to be
going fast today. Nice and cloudy, so it isn't too bright outside.

Downtown Chicago

Driving back to Joe's Dad's house now. We decided to take the scenic
route through downtown because there is bad traffic on the interstate.
I took a lot of pictures, but this one looks kinda neat through the
sunroof at some tall buildings. It is cloudy snd rainy today. I love
it when the weather is like this! Chicago is a cool town.

New home for Tim & Julie!

Hey everyone! Here I am in a town called Glencoe, a little to the
north of Chicago. I am out front of a new home that Joe's brother,
Tim, will probably purchase for him and his wife, Julie. They are
expecting a baby boy within the next month. It is very large and well
built. Quite a different style than what Joe and Anne are planning to
build, still modern in it's own way with nice amenities like a sauna,
wine cellar, theater, fireplaces, and awesome appliances/cabinets/
showers. We are very happy for them and can't wait to stop back to
visit after the baby is born. His name will be Nikoli.

Lake Home

Here I am in Stoughton, WI outside of a lake home that our architect
designed. After Joe and anne met with the architect for about 5 hours,
the architect brought us over for a site visit so we could look over
some of the detailing and materials. You can see a cool part of the
silver, triangular, sloped roof to the right of the picture. Pretty
neat place! I can't wait for our home to be built!

Crazy canyon!

Just got done with our first day on our property and decided to drive
down both sides of the black river to see all the land we look out at
from our place. We happened upon this really cool canyon that must
have been carved by the glaciers and river. It is like a wide slot
canyon you see out west, only a little wider at the bottom. Very
steep! If you look way to the distance, you can see where the stream
enters the black river. Neat!

Gold Dome

Here I am in Des Moine with a cool gold dome in the background! We
tried to snap it on our last road trip, but missed it. Almost missed
it again, but caught it at the last moment. I usually don't like gold
things, but I like this a lot.

Purple Tree!

Here I am on the grounds of the cool church. Behind me you will see
the most beautiful pink/purple trees I have ever seen! There are also
limestone walls and pathways that add to the overall awesomeness of
this place. I let Joe and Anne know we should probably have a few of
whatever kind of tree this is on our property. I think LT would love
them! I know I do.

Close Up of Holy Family Shrine

LT, I know we didn't make it back to Wisconsin in time to go to church
with you today, but we made it to the Holy Family Shrine Church! It is
so beautiful! We hope to bring you here someday as I believe you will
think it is the most awesome, calm, spiritual place!

Coolest church in the world!

Here I am a few miles west of Omaha, Nebraska off the side of the
I-80 interstate. I am near the town of Gretna, Nebraska. Last time
we drove through, we saw this cool church and have been looking
for it on this trip. You can see it high on the hill behind me.
It is very beautiful!

North Platte

Stayed in North Platte last night @ the Holiday Inn Express. We are
finding these are all new hotels, they all allow doggies, and they are
reasonably priced. We got there just a little before midnight last
night (California time, that is). Got up this morning, and got some
gas at the Conoco station with a 'Fat Dogs' restaurant inside. We
thought the doggie in the sign looked like Orion, so we took a picture
with him. Then I decided to take a picture, too. Not much longer and
we will be there!

Window Tinting?

Here I am in the middle of Utah - mile marker 99 to be exact! We just
got pulled over by a state Trooper for having too dark of window
tinting on our car. We explained that we were from California and
installed whatever was legal there. The Trooper informed us that ALL
window tinting was illegal in California and proceeded to check the
windows. Anne quickly looked it up on her iPhone and discovered that
is IS legal in California up to 70%. At that time, the Trooper
informed us that he was going to give us a verbal warning. We decided
not to correct the Trooper and happily accepted the verbal warning.
Anne's brother, Alan, wasn't so lucky and actually received a ticket
for the same thing in Iowa a few years ago.

At any rate, the whole thing caused us to stop at this cool place and
take a break and some pictures with Joe's new camera. I love road
trips, have I let you know that yet?

I-15 & I-70 junction - part II

Here I am just one mile down the road from the last post. We just went
over a pass of 7,180'. Now we are looking to the east at some bigger
mountains with more snow on them. I love snow!

I-15 & I-70 split - part I

Here i am, looking down on the valley where the I-15 travels north
towards Salt Lake City. We just turned off onto I-70 and are now
heading towards Denver. Stayed in Cedar City, UT last night and got
some rest. Ended up staying in the same room of the same hotel as last
trip! Nice day to travel!

Las Vegas again

So here I am in Las Vegas. You may wonder why, as I was supposed to
fly to Chicago today. Well we got to the airport right on time, but
the angry (and large) ladies at the ticket counter deemed Astro and
Orion too big to fly, even though it has been fine on Southwest in the
past. After having about seven different employees 'review' the
doggies, they sent us packing. Anne was pretty upset. She deemed the
ladies at the counter too large to fly, too...after sitting on the
curb very upset for awhile, Joe reminded her how lucky we are and came
up with plan B.

So we just decided to hop in the A3 and do an adventure with the whole
family. That is how I ended up in Las Vegas. I know the picture is
kinda blurry, but that is how I always feel in Las Vegas! I love road
trip adventures! I just know something really cool is going to happen!
Here we go!

Happy b-day, part II

Cupcakes are done now...here I am with four of the bunny-cakes. We
also have a festive Easter towel that I like because the bunnies and
chicks are neat! I love Easter!

Happy b-day!!!

Happy birthday to me! Today is my fourth b-day here with the
Ennesser's! Our family has grown since I arrived and now we have astro
and Orion...next to me is Orion. We are keeping watch over the yummy
bunny cupcakes that are baking - these are my little b-day cakes this
year. Smells good!

Torrey Pines Sunset

Hi everyone - here I am at Torrey Pines state reserve enjoying a
beautiful sunset with Anne and Joe. The sun peeked out from under the
clouds just before setting behind the ocean. I love sunsets!

Bunny blog on the iPad!

Here I am with the iPad and my website in the background! We are
hanging in the Hummer and seeing all it can do. We have the e-mails
working now and went out on the Internet and looked at a few pages.
Also looked at the latest plans for the house - very nice!

Unboxing the iPad

Here we are unboxing Joe's iPad at the apple store so we could
activate it. It only took a few seconds and we were ready to go. It
already was 90% charged so that was nice. We are now using it with
Joe's mifi card and it is very nice! The screen is beautiful and it is
fast. Kayboard is nice, too. I like the iPad!

iPad!

Here I am outside the apple store @ Victoria Gardens in Rancho
Cucamonga. We are here to get Joe's iPad! There is a short line for
those that didn't reserve one or had it ordered and shipped to their
homes. If you look closely, you can see Joe talking to the apple
employee to get us whisked to the front of the line. How exciting!

Evergreen pear tree

Went to work with Anne today to help her with the Waste Management
Biggest Loser. We both noticed the very beautiful tree between the
buildings. We were told they are called Evergreen Pear Trees. They
remind us of snowy trees in Wisconsin.

Nikon D90!

Here I am in our kitchen, sitting on joe's new camera! It is a nikon
D90, attached to a neat gorillapod. Joe has been studying very hard
and knows how to use all the features now. We plan to take all kinds
of pictures to document our property as we build our home! I like this
camera and appreciate Joe for learning how to use it! Maybe someday we
will take astronomy pictures with it...

Go America!

Here I am going down the I-215 freeway near Perris, CA. Anne & Joe
are heading out for a run in Santa Rosa Plateau Reserve. On the way,
we came upon a military convoy. As we passed this group of soldiers.
We waived and gave them a "thumbs-up" and they waived back! We really
appreciate our soldiers!

Rainy day in Tucson

Here I am in NW Tucson. Joe & Anne were going to go for a run at
sabino canyon park, but it has been raining from noon to about 3 pm.
It just cleared up and we are taking the doggies out. Anne and Joe
will try to run after we are done. It is really neat out! The desert
smells great! I like the desert just after a fresh rain.

Mexican Border

Here I am along I-8 again. if you look very carefully, behind me you
can see the border fence. I wonder if there are any people out there?

Crazy boulders

On the way to Tucson. Just going through the cool pass on I-8 that had
awesome boulders everywere! It is near the riverside/San Diego county
line. Anne tells me Al & Laura thought this area was interesting when
they drove through a few years ago. I like cool rocks!

Long trip home

It is Sunday afternoon and we are heading back to Riverside now. The
race is over and Joe is very tired, but safe - just a few needles
stuck in him that will have to work their way out over time.

We are between Tucson and Phoenix right now. After we watched our last
teammate finish we stopped by an old friend of Joe's, Randy. Randy
lives in Tucson and Joe and Randy used to hang out and go snowboarding
together before Anne met Joe. Randy is a super awesome guy. He brought
out these heavy, propane fueled heaters last night that kept us warm
while we were removing cacti needles!

Now we are on the road and I thought this was a cool shot of the
shadow of joe's bike as we drive along heading north. I like roadtrips.

Prickly pear!

Joe just got done with his 1 pm to 3 pm ride. Some guy cut him off,
clipped his back tire, causing Joe to flip over his handlebars,
landing in a prickly pear cactus! Anne spent 30 minutes doing minor
surgery to remove the needles from his legs and other much more
sensitive parts of his anatomy...good thing she was here! I'm not so
sure I like prickly pear, or any type of cactus!

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Ready to ride!

Here I am on joe's bike, making sure it is ready to ride. We have a
very nice spot in the very nice campground. Race starts in an hour!
Joe is going second, so he should start around 1:15. His team number
is 432. Good luck Joe and team dickklepuss!

Friday, February 12, 2010

Tucson again...

On the way to Tucson in the H2. Joe is riding in a 24-hr mountain bike
ride relay. We are between the CA boarder and Tucson right now. Sun is
just going down. We will be camping in a field tonight and the race
starts tomorrow at noon. I love road trips.

Happy Anniversay!

Happy Anniversary to Joe and Anne! Yesterday they were married for
nine years! They both received very cool bunny related gifts - one of
which you can see behind me. It is a neat canvas nightlight with
bunnies painted on it. Joe got it for Anne. He also got her four of
the most awesome prints from the same artist. Anne got Joe two bunny
cookie jars for our new home. All around, it was a good day for
bunnies in our home!

I love bunny art!

Bob's Auto Service

Here I am in the A3 at Bob's Auto Service. We took the A3 in to have
the brakes looked at. It is rainy, so the is cool! You can see the
drops on the window.

George, the man that owns the shop, was very nice and didn't try to
rip us off. Reminds me of Thompson Motors! I like this place.

Doggie sweaters!

Here I am with the doggies. They are being so good! They are not
trying to play with me at all because they know I am the bunny and off-
limits for chew-toy games!

Orion just got a new sweater, that matchs Astro's. I think he likes it
very much! He looks rather distinguished...I like chillin with the
doggies.

Nate Harrison Grade

Here I am in the Hummer at around 5,000' driving up the Nate Harrison
Grade with Joe, Anne, Astro, and Orion. We are going up to let the
doggies play in the snow near the palomar observatory. We tried to go
up San Diego county road S6, but the CHP had it closed to traffic
going up, so we looked for another road and found this dirt road. It
was a crazy, steep ride with no guard rails, but we found a nice spot
of our own. Saw some people getting stuck in the snow/mud, but we had
no problems (except for the brand new mustang that almost slid into us
as we were driving down!). The doggies had a great time! Especially
Astro - she was going crazy digging holes in the snow and chasing
snowballs that Joe made for her. I love snow and palomar mountain!

Rain storms are ending

After almost steady rain from Monday through Friday afternoon, the storms are almost over. I still think there are a few more showers left. There are very neat clouds on box springs mountain that I observe every day. I love the rain and can't wait to live in Wisconsin where there is more interesting weather all year round!

Friday, January 8, 2010

New TV!

Here I am in the living room. You will notice behind me a mess of
wires on the wall. Anne & Joe just took the old 42" tv down and Joe is
going to run some new wires for the new 55" tv! It is super skinny. If
you look to my left, you can barely see it because it is only 1.2"
thick. Wow!

Baking, too...

Here I am with some of the cookies that Anne and I created and
decorated. We are using LT's sugar cookie recipe. It wasn't quite as
fun and baking/decorating with LT, Kathy, and Alan, but still fun. I
like baking, too!

Day after Xmas

It is the day after Christmas and Joe had to go all the way out to El
Centro to work. Anne and I are making a scrambled egg treat for the
doggies, and came across a double-yolk - you don't see that everyday!
I like cooking.

Astro's new sweater

Hi everyone - here I am with Astro on Christmas Day. She looks so nice
in her new sweater! If you carefully, you can see Orion behind my
ears, too - he is being crazy and playing with Joe. I like Christmas
Day with the family!

Christmas Day run @ Santa Rosa plateau

Here I am in the hummer. Joe and anne just got done running 5.5 miles
in the southern portion of the Santa rosa plateau county park. I have
been observing the hikers on the trail, as well as the wildlife
visiting the vernal pools, from the truck in the new parking lot. What
a nice day! If you look closely, you can see Joe in the background...÷H

Christmas!

Here I am by our tree on Christmas eve! All the presents look so nice
and the tree that Joe did is awesome! We are just about to open
presents. I love opening presents!
