Fire?!?

Here I am outside our new apartment. It is 11:51 pm on Sunday night.
All of a sudden, the fire alarm started going off! We are outside
waiting to see what is going on. The firefighters are here, and
nothing seems to be on fire...very odd! Anne was really freaked out -
she thought we were in California and the big one has just hit!
Hopefully everything is OK...

Carrot bunny

Hi all - getting ready to leave Merrillan. Took a quick picture with
my new friend, Carrot bunny. Also have a neat lily of the valley that
Anne picked for me. Smells so good!

Smoker Craft?

Bet you are wondering what a "smoker craft" is!?! It is the brand of
Alan's new boat! Don't I look good in it? Maybe I'll go out on the
water with everyone someday. It is a beautiful day here, doesn't get
much better! Not too hot, not too cold, nice breeze...neat clouds and
sunlight. Having a good time...

Stone's throw

Went to a supper club with Anne's mom and dad tonight. It is called
the Stone's Throw and it is in Hatfield. Anne used to work here a LONG
time ago went it was called the 4-in-1. Here I am in the bar with all
kinds of cool lights. The picture turned out kinda neat.

For Sale

Just down the road from the property we came upon a tractor for sale.
We will probably buy a tractor one of these days...I think I'd like to
ride on a tractor.

Project Cam

At the property! We are taking the cards out of the project cams to
see how they turned out. Both solar batteries were 100%, but the
camera facing east was facing down. Not sure how that happened because
Joe had it screwed tight! Hopefully it happened recently.

If you look closely, you will see a moth and his old cocoon. Neat to
think a moth grew up on our project cam! Just started to sprinkle
outside. So nice out here!

Duckies!

Here we are just east of Minneapolis on our drive to Wisconsin. We saw
two families of duckies, so we sneaked up on them and took a few
pictures. They got a pretty cool place to call home...

Mississippi river

Hi all - just hanging out at our new apartment. Here is the view from
our window. The picture doesn't capture just how cool it is here. What
a nice day!

Eagle

Just went for a nice walk across the river and tried a pizza place,
Punch. They have a very hot stone oven that cooks the pizzas in just a
few minutes. It was pretty good. While walking back to the apartment,
we saw an eagle - not that kind of eagle, an AMC eagle! It is in
awesome condition! Joe used to have one, and Anne's dad used to sell
them. Maybe Anne's dad sold it back in the day! Cool.

Downtown!

On the cab ride to our cool apartment in downtown Minneapolis. You can
see the tall buildings of downtown behind me - Joe is in one of those
buildings at work right now. Neat to know we will see him soon!

Grand Canyon

We are flying to go see Joe in Minneapolis today. I'm glad I can go,
too! The doggies had to stay in California, but they are going to have
fun with Paul and Angie...

We are sitting in the back of the plane, so we have a nice view out
the window. Neat view of the morning sun on the grand canyon. Neat!

Lake Arrowhead - Waffle Place!

Came up to Lake Arrowhead to go to the Belgium Waffle Works with some
friends from work - Panda, Joe, and Jasmin. We even have Pongo, Astro,
and Orion with us! It rained hard the while way and now it is super
foggy on the lake. Still a cool journey!

Roadtrip

Here we are on a cloudy Monday morning outside of jamba juice in
Moreno Valley. Just got done grabbing a healthy breakfast and off to
start our day. It is a little bit different of a day for Joe as he is
on the way to Minneapolis. A road trip without me, can you believe it?
I know I'll be there soon enough, but I really miss him already.

Scary snake!

Got back from Pasadena and took the doggies out. While the doggies
were trotting around, Orion walked right by this baby rattlesnake! He
must have come within two feet of it and didn't even notice! It was
laying in the grass about 20' from the building's staircase! Joe came
down and captured it and then took it way down the canyon and let it
go. Hopefully he won't be back!

Bunny Adopt-a-thon

It is a hazy day in southern California. Summer is here. A good time
to be moving to Minneapolis! Joe had his last day of work for Target
in California yesterday...lots going on. We just stopped at IKEA to
get a replacement cabinet door for our condo because we are selling it
now. Since we are already in Covina, we decided to continue on to
Pasadena. Today, there was a bunny adopt-a-thon at a bunny refuge. It
was a pretty small set-up with 8 bunnies available for adoption. The
people were very nice. One of the bunnies was very shy and beautiful.
Here is a picture of me with him. He is white, like me and Astro and
Orion. He had very neat pink eyes. Unfortunately, with everything
going on we cannot help out by adopting him, so we left a donation. I
hope someone adopts him...

Goodbye A3!

Here I am in Santa Ana at a credit union with a lady named Kory that
is purchasing our A3. We had a lot if fun in that rig. I remember
driving it to mammoth ion the middle of the night with Anne's brother.

Bunny Rock

I found a cool rock with a divot in it that is the same size as I am
and I fit right in! I'm naming it bunny rock. What an awesome place to
celebrate my b-day! Did I mention that we are celebrating it because
it is easter? Happy Easter out there to everyone, and all bunnies
everywhere!

Bunny ridge photo op

Here I am, chillin on a rock in sycamore canyon park, just across the
street from our place. Joe is taking some photos because the clouds
and sunset light are just beautiful! Anne and Joe trail run here a
lot. They call this place 'bunny ridge' because there are always
bunnies hopping around the rocks and bushes. I fit right in!

Birthday snail!

Just went over to jamba juice for a birthday breakfast smoothie and
some oatmeal...on the way back noticed a snail crawling on the hood of
the hummer! How crazy is that!

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

Here we are in Joe's old target store and found out that the
advertising campaign is out! What a handsome pharmacist Joe is! It is
funny that they photoshopped out the holes in his forehead where Joe
had an halo attached after he broke his neck! I am sure glad Joe found
me in the target bin that fateful day - I wonder how many of my
brethren have blogs?!?

Guess where I am at?

Can you figure it out? I've been here before...that's right! UCSD! Joe
is teaching another class at the pharmacy school today. He had a very
long day yesterday, actually a long week, so Anne and I drove him down
this morning. Nice day in La Jolla - it is actually going to be a bit
hot as there is no marine layer at all. Doggies stayed home today
because it would be too hot for them in the car. I wonder how many
more times I will come to San Diego?

Surfboards!

It's a warm spring day here in socal! We are doing a lot of work to
pack and one thing we will not be able to use in Minneapolis is
surfboards...we decided to sell them to our good friend Paul. I don't
normally have people in my shots, but Paul is special. He is the guy
that taught Anne and Joe to surf. If you look closely, he is giving me
"bunny ears!" I know Paul will put the boards to good use!

Ike's

Here I am outside of Ike's restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. Just
had an awesome meal with Anne, Joe, Al, and Laura. As they said back
in the day, "I like Ike's!"

Smokers!

We are hanging out in Starbucks again. This time waiting for Anne's
mom and dad to arrive. You can see the neat skyway that Joe will take
to work when the weather is bad. There is another Twins' game tonight
and the fans are starting to show up. Throughout the last few days, we
have seen SO many smokers! More than even San Diego! Behind me you can
see two girls that just arrived - they were already lit-up before they
sat down. I happened to catch one in mid-flick. This is the only thing
we don't like about Minneapolis. I should be OK because the bars and
restaurants are smoke free. So us the apartment building we are
looking at. I really don't like smoke...it messes up my fluffy coat!

New home plans - set F.2

Here I am sitting in Starbucks in Minneapolis with Anne and Joe. While
we were checking out the potential new apartment, the architect sent
us new house plans! We decided to look them over together now that we
are done with our 5.5 miles of walking around today. We checked out
the north loop today and the Mississippi on the north side of town. We
ended up liking the mill district area a bit more as it is closer to
the river and a little less run down.

How awesome is plan F.2?!? It has the modifications we talked about
with Jim last December. It rocks and is conceptually pretty much done.
Can't wait to work on finishing the design and building over the years
after we move here. What another perfect day and perfect weekend. I
love this trip!

Gold-n-plump chicken

Walking down to meet with the people at Mill District City Apartments
to maybe sign a lease. Ran into the gold-n-plump chicken mobile. Neat!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Here we are back at the hotel at the cookie shop. Had
supper at an OK Thai place. Walked all over the downtown area and
north of downtown on both sides of the river - 6 miles total. Very
many neat places. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!

Tortoise and and Hare

More cool creatures here in front of the courthouse. Neat that there
is a bunny with long ears like me!

Another new friend

Here we are outside of the US courthouse in downtown Minneapolis. And
I've found another new friend! Very neat landscaping here - there are
built-up mounds with neat grass on them and various creatures all
around, many with cool rounds bellies.

Mississippi River

Here is a cool shot of the Mississippi River from the Stone Arch
Bridge just before the St. Anthony Falls. Very neat place to walk a
dog!

Ollu self-service dog wash

Can you believe it? Another cool place. We can wash Astro and Orion
for $15 here. Very nice people. Can't wait to try it!

Bunny vs. Goose

Walking along the Mississippi River and saw a pretty tame goose. I
think I can take him!

Moose Snyder

Here I am with my new friend, Moose Snyder! He lives in the West Photo
shop in Minneapolis. He has been to six continents and has met many
celebrities. He can be found on Facebook. How cool!

Surdyk's Liquor & Cheese Shop

Now this is the type of store that California is missing! A store
devoted to liquor and cheese! Can't wait to take LT here! Everywhere
we look there is something cool to do or eat - this place is WAY
better than San Francisco!

Peep show!

Can you believe it! We were walking around Minneapolis and came upon a
place, the River Place Exposition Hall, that had a bunch of "peep
shows" in their window! They were a bunch of Easter bunny and chic
peeps in various scenes. Very cool and I feel even more at home. Just
don't check out the jurassic park exhibit - very scary!

Turtle down by the riverside

Made it to the Hennepin bridge over the river. Found a neat turtle by
the heritage trail that runs along the river. Neat!

Dirty snow.

Here I am in downtown Minneapolis with what is left of the snow! It is
65 degrees outside and just beautiful! Joe, Anne, and I are walking
around and checking out the lay of the land. I love this town so far!

Off to MN

Here I am on a Delta flight on the way to minneapolis. I'm sitting
between Anne and Joe. There is a delay because we don't have any water
pressure...I still love to travel!

Topsy-turvy

Here I am on a Wednesday morning. Lots of changes coming our way and
it is making all of us a little topsy turvy, much like the way I woke
up this morning! Time to pack for our trip to Minneapolis to find a
new apartment to live in...did I mention that Joe got a great job
offer at Target headquarters!?! He starts on May 18th. I am so proud
of him! I'll be sure to let you all know about the changes we go
through as we make our big journey!

Wedding!

Got my snazzy jacket on for a wedding! There is beautiful light
shining through the trees on my while we wait for Andy and Becky to
come down the aisle for their outside wedding at Crestmore Manor - one
of Riverside County Parks Department's facilities. I like weddings.

Best Partner of the Year!

Hi everyone! Joe just got home from a regional pharmacy meeting where
all the managers in the western region got together. He received an
award for being the best partner of the year! Here I am with his
award, which also happens to be a new friend of mine. Way to go, Joe!

Home!

We made it home safely...it snowed or rained almost the entire way!
Crazy weather for so much of California! As we were driving, Anne was
eating gummi dinosaur eggs and she came upon this odd shaped one.
Kinda looks like a bunny, don't you think? As you can tell I am quite
tired. Looking forward to a nice evening at home to rest. Great trip!

Richmond Bridge

Heading east now about to go over the Richmond Bridge. It isn't as
impressive as the Golden Gate and Bay bridges, but it is pretty long.
Unfortunately, it is another double decker and we are on the lower
level, but we don't have to pay going this way! I like bridges.

Golden Gate Bridge

Here we are on Sunday morning on our way home from San Francisco. We
stopped to try some pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge again. We came
here last night around sunset, but it was rainy and super windy -
shaking the whole car! Still drizzlely now, but not too bad. Nice shot
of the bridge with the sun competing with the clouds and fog for
domination. I think the clouds are going to win. Off to finish up our
neat adventure.

Saturday, March 19, 2011

Bay Bridge

We decided to drive across the Bay Bridge over to Oakland/Berkley
areas. The bridge is a double decker bridge - on the way back to San
Fran, we got to be on the top level. Here is a cool shot as we were
cruising across the bridge. It is very windy and rainy and you can see
my ears are being blown in two directions! Right behind me is downtown
San Fran. To the far right, in the water, you will see a tiny island -
that is Alcatraz. And in almost the very center of the picture, if you
look closely and zoom in, you will see the Golden Gate Bridge. Very
neat!

Lombard Street, part III

Looking up at the curvy part of Lombard Street from the bottom. I'm
surprised that cars aren't crashing into each other all over the place
around here. I wonder what it must be like to live here. Especially
for the city bunnies.

Lombard Street, part II

Near the top of the big hill, looking back down towards our hotel. So steep!

Lombard Street

Here we are going up Lombard Street so we can go down the curvy
part...I don't know how people can live/drive here! Check out how
steep the road is. It looks like the cars are going to slide down the
hill into each other! Crazy!

Kara's Cupcakes

Raining today...Joe and Anne got up this morning and went for a run
from the hotel, down to the oceanfront, then up and over the Golden
Gate Bridge and back - 8.6 miles. Afterwards, they went to Starbucks
and got some gourmet cupcakes at Kara's Cupcakes. Here I am with Orion
inspecting them. Anne and Joe said they are awesome! BP liked them so
much, he ate the cupcake paper! Now we are off to drive around in the
rain and check things out.

The Lone Cypress Tree

Here we are at the Lone Cypress tree at Pebble Beach. Very neat wooden
steps/deck lead down to the viewing platform we are on. Neat clouds
and I think it is just about to rain. I'm sure we will enjoy many days
like this in Wisconsin!
